Future of Automation?
So Apple bought Workflow for iOS yesterday. I think the expectation is that it'll be rolled into the OS. That suggests they've heard the cries of many people that automation is important and is one of the main things holding the iPad Pro back as an alternative to OSX. Presumably they'll expand it with some sort of scripting hooks available for applications.
The question is what Federighi's plans are. We know he disbanned the automation team that was handling (sort of) Applescript and the like but which hasn't really had a hit product in a very long time. Rumors were that the Siri team was taking over although I never saw that confirmed. Presumably if Apple does something they'll try and make it crossplatform. Any guesses?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
